We're excited to welcome back the coffees from Pablo and Eva at Finca El Jardin, a coffee partnership that started in 2020  when they wandered into the roastery looking for a roasting partner.  It's been an amazing experience working with them and to see the impact of our relationship yielding better and better results each year.

This coffee was hand selected and sorted  before being de-pulped at Pablo and Eva's eco mill on their property.  It was then slowly dried on raised beds. The parchment (dried coffee) was then  dry milled where it went through further sorting and screening.  This is our first release of the 2024 crop. 

Pablo is a third generation coffee farmer who has recently started managing farm operations and has his focus set on improving cup quality year after year. By establishing direct trade relationships, he is able to manage the price and margins of his coffees instead of having it dictated by a global commodity market which is notoriously unfair to the producers. 

Controlling the price allows him to reinvest in the farm, which we've already seen him benefit from planting new varietals, improve the wet mill, and pay his farm hands a premium.  

We'll be serving this coffee as our house filter coffee mid-Summer and it's an approachable medium roast with nice body.  Great whether you take it black or want a splash of cream and sugar.
