Another gem from the producers at Kayon Mountain, this washed-process coffee delivers everything we hope for in an Ethiopian: bright acidity, juicy character, and a cup that’s a joy to drink from the first sip to the last, hot or cooled.

Kayon Mountain Coffee Farm spans 300 hectares in Ethiopia’s Guji zone and has been run by Ismael Hassen Aredo and his family since 2012. Located between the villages of Taro and Sewana, the farm is known not only for its meticulous processing but also for its deep commitment to the local community. Ismael provides free transportation, helps fund school construction, and offers higher wages to attract skilled seasonal workers, especially important in a region where mining often pulls labor away from agriculture.

Coffee here is shade-grown under native trees and fertilized with compost made on-site. Thanks to careful cultivation and processing, this lot is a consistently excellent expression of what makes Ethiopian coffees so beloved: expressive, juicy, and incredibly drinkable.
