Arthur's Acres Animal Sanctuary Benefit Beans
In January 2020, Brian and Jessie went to upstate New York to visit Arthur's Acres Animal Sanctuary (Instagram @arthursacres), a non profit animal sanctuary creating a safe place for farmed animals to live out the rest of their natural lives. Read their whole story on their website.
Arthur's Acres' mission:
- Rescue in need animals (emphasis on pigs) that have been abused, exploited or discarded
- Rehabilitate through patience, love and respect
- Educate individuals on daily choices to live a cruelty free life
During the visit, Todd, the founder of the Arthur's Acres, passionately told the story of how he came to rescue their first pig, Arthur. Now home to over 40 animals who were rescued from abusive homes, neglect, or abandonment, the farm is a safe sanctuary for them to live in peace. Between veterinary bills, food costs, property maintenance, and rebuilding the barn that burnt to the ground in late 2019, Arthur's Acres survives on donations.
Borealis is happy to donate $10 of every pound of this coffee sold directly to Arthur's Acres. If you'd like to donate directly, visit their donation page where you can sponsor an animal, sign up for recurring donations, or make a one-time donation.
For these beans, we use an organically grown, fair-trade coffee, roasted to a crowd pleasing medium roast. You can expect a smooth and creamy body with balanced flavors and a clean finish.
VEGAN: We never add any flavorings or additives to any of our coffees.
