In January 2020, our founders, Brian and Jessie, visited Arthur’s Acres Animal Sanctuary, a nonprofit organization in upstate New York that rescues farmed animals from abuse, neglect, and abandonment. It’s a place where animals, mainly pigs, can live out their natural lives in safety and peace, surrounded by love and care.
Founded by Todd Friedman, Arthur’s Acres operates entirely on donations. Between veterinary bills, food, property upkeep, and rebuilding a barn lost to fire, the sanctuary relies on a dedicated community to keep going. Hearing Todd share the story of rescuing their first pig, Arthur, was all it took for us to know we wanted to help.
