Nyeri Hill farm is situated about 2 km northwest of Nyeri town along the Nyeri-Ihururu road. The farm lies in Nyeri District, approximately 300 km north of the capital Nairobi. It lies at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level at the lowest point, with the highest point at 2200 meters above sea level.

The Nyeri Hill farm is owned by the Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri. The farm's ownership dates back to the early 1890s when Kenya was still a British colony. The farm is unique because it's among the first coffee plantations to be established in Eastern Africa. It was first planted with coffee in 1914, and today has a good amount of biodiversity, growing tea, vegetables, and other horticultural items used in their institution.

Coffee from the farm is harvested at peak ripeness and transported to the wet mill, where it's immediately depulped and dry fermented to remove the mucilage. From there, the parchment is washed with clean water, then graded and spread onto raised beds to dry.
